Please follow the new guidance on these allowable characters to avoid returning a bad request.

Allowed Characters in Names

Allowed Characters:

• Uppercase letters: A-Z
• Lowercase letters: a-z
• Space ( )
• Single quote/apostrophe (')
• Hyphen (-)
• Period (.)
• Diacritics
  • Grave (À, à)
  • Acute (Á, á)
  • Tilde (Ã, ã, Ñ, ñ)
  • Cedilla (Ç, ç)
  • Circumflex (Î, î)
  • Diaeresis/Umlaut (Ü, ü)

Rules:

1. No consecutive special characters: Spaces, apostrophes, hyphens, and periods cannot appear twice or more in a row.
2. Diacritics must be paired with an alphabetic character (cannot be displayed alone).
3. Start and end with a letter: Names must begin and end with an alphabetic character (diacritics are allowed).
4. Maximum length: Each name field (First, Middle, Last) can be up to 25 characters.
   1. First Name: Minimum 2 characters, maximum 25 characters.
   2. Middle Name: Minimum 1 character, maximum 25 characters.
   3. Last Name: Minimum 2 characters, maximum 25 characters.
      Note: Diacritics are allowed for First, Middle, and Last Name.
5. Disallowed: All other characters (including emojis, numbers, and other symbols) are not permitted.

Suggested REGEX for validation:

^(?=.{1,30}$)[A-Za-z](?:[A-Za-z]|[ .'-](?![ '-]))*[A-Za-z]$

If firstName, middleName, lastName does NOT match rules above then a httpStatus code 400 Bad Request will be returned.
